FAIL TO UNDERSTAND! A Poem By Abid A. Kazi

One world and many billions dwellers as we see

From the top of mountains to the shinning sea

We all have our own agenda to solve our problems free

Nothing seems to be working because we hardly agree

Who is first and who is last

We like to bump into others to be first being fast

We all agree with the multiple problems on hand

Nothing seems to have solution except more castles of sand

Each one wants the solutions to their satisfaction

No one likes to have any variance in correction

There is a hardly any day without a bad news

Innocents are subjected with lots of abuse

Greed among haves is spreading like a cancer without fence

Survival for the fittest is becoming hard and tense

What good is the living well when others can hardly make

Our final judgment always crumbles towards fate

Promises made and broken since the dawn of time as the history write

Millions perished for the unnecessary fights

‘Do We Care ?’ A Poem By Saadia Asad

Nationalism, secularism,democracy, autocracy,dictatorship, kingship

All ‘isms’ ‘cys’ ‘ships’ : all ways of some  ruling over the others

Rules, regulations, laws all have space in there, but not fellowship!

In the name of honor, face saving and winning, not giving a damn

We   kill,  torture,     subjugate,    humiliate     and        intimidate

Each one assignment, each one a task completed—-none a man.

Do   we   care   for the   environment    we     pollute  ?

Which    contains   all    the    nature’s     loot

Do   we  care  for   the    children   breeding    on streets ?

Who    instead    need    affection  and   love    treats

Do   we  care  for  the hungry and thirsty of the world ?

They  need  not conventions , but  real  help  unfurled

Do   we   care  for  the  sick  ,raped   and    deprived ?

Whose   sole  purpose   in  living  now  is how to survive

Yes   we  care  and   yes   we  can  is the need of the hour

To  save  this  habitat ,this  solely livable planet of ours.

‘ Philosophy Of My Life ‘ A Poem by By Mirza Ashraf

At the age of ten, I set my heart upon learning,
And at twenty planted my feet firmly on the ground.
At thirty, I no longer suffered from perplexity.
At forty, I knew the order of Heaven,
And at fifty heard it receptively.
At sixty, I could muse on the dictates of my heart.
And now at SEVENTY, no longer in fragment,
I see the best is yet to be, the last of life,
For which the first was made;
That fairly and freely, I may reflect,
Of all what I have learnt,
And of all what I have missed.

When I

When I

A poem by Abid A. Kazi

Close my eyes

And enter into the world of darkness

Nothing is visible from the eyes shut

Yet another world get illuminated

A very lighted and clear all around

Imagination takes over

All is silent and serene

No one is in hurry to be somewhere

Time to pause and search

What a calm all around

How do we draw a line with such a difference?

How lucky I feel at this stage

And soon it s going to be over

Eyes begin to see and all around vanished in a flash

Eyes are wide open and seeing all what I am used to see

From shinning building to rising sea

Try doing this whenever you feel free

You will be recharged and I am sure you will agree
