  1. This attitude of Muslims seeking a separate burial ground is just one of the many things that we do without realizing that we are at fault.
I find it as our bias towards non Muslims, we don’t even like to lay dead next to non Muslims. Shame on us.
What non sense …. burying dead bodies facing Mecca or things like that.
We Muslims have a very narrow mind and we think we are superior than non Muslims and this attitude exactly is the reason the West hates us.

Nasik Sb also presented this news as if Trump is responsible in denying Muslims even burial of their dead, no it’s not so, town is discouraging discrimination and I fully agree with the town’s decision.
We Muslims will never rise above such squabbles.

  2. Although at one point I myself was involved in securing a cemetery site for Islamic Center Of Rockland, but I agree with Babar Sahib that it seems strange that we live among neighbors of all denominations but when dead, we wanted to be buried in a separate Muslim cemetery.
However issue raised by news article and Nasik Sahib is not whether this religious practice is right or wrong, but right of religious freedom. There are many denominational , both Christian and Jewish, as well as non-denominational cemeteries ,and if some Muslims want to have a Muslim denominational cemetery they have every right to do so.

  3. What I know little about Shriah pronouncement on this the injunction is something like this “Its ok to be buried in the land where you lived and made your living and amongst those you lived and worked with” *****Suhail (Syed Rizvi)
